Eduardito is learning lots!

Recently, I received a letter from Eduardito.  He is sponsored through Compassion by Cycle4Compassion.  Thank you for your support.

This is what Eduardito wrote with the help of his tutor:

My Christian Learning

I learn about God at my project
What year did you accept God in your heart? 2012
My favorite bible story is Noah's Ark
My favorite bible verse is Psalm 23:1
What is your favorite song to sing at the project? A little star in the sky I saw.
What I have learned about Jesus and I like the most is: He helps me.
When I pray to Jesus I do it for my family.
Who is your favorite character from the Bible? Samson

Dear sponsor Elisabeth, your child Eduardo sends you a big hug.  He wants to thank you for your pictures, your letters, stickers, the letter yellow page, and the envelope.  Eduardo says that he is fine with his mother and brother.  Hes mother works by selling food in a cafeteria near the swimming pools of town.  He says that he would like you to pray that his mother does well with her sales.  He tells you at the kindergarten parade he dressed up as a bear.
Love,
your child,
Eduardo

  1. I love that he wanted to tell you, almost as an afterthought, that he dressed as a bear for the parade! Taking a look at that letter really underscores what a tough life these children have. Nearly every thing he wrote was something an adult would say or worry about. A child that young should not have to ask you to pray that his mother does well with her sales...it just shouldn't be even on his mind. So, it's great to see the child in him come out at the end. :)

What a great letter, and a beautiful child! Congrats to you, and to the success of C4C!

(Oh, and I wrote you back on OC. Send me the info on the mobile, if you would, please. I'm going to try to make it.)

    1. Yes, our kiddos do have tough lives. In all but one letter, he asked for prayer for his mom's work or sales. I am so happy to know what his mom does now. It makes sense now how the income isn't likely steady. Thank you. Eduardito is awesome! :)
